brackets ans sizes
For my photographs I have chosen two possible finishes. There are many other possibilities but the ones that best suit my high quality photos are to deliver the prints on photographic paper or with a dibond finish.
Depending on each photo, we use a different paper so that the printing result is excellent. The papers used are Crystal Archive DPII Professional, Instant Dry and Kumo Professional.
The dimensions of the sheets are 30×40 for small format, 50×70 for medium format and 90×120 for large format in horizontal and vertical formats.
I have chosen these measurements because they are the standard ones and you can find them in any frame shop.
In the square formats, the measurements are also standardized and easy to find. For panoramic formats and large square and rectangular formats it is better to make a custom frame for the photo.
The advantage of custom framing the photo is that we can personalize the frame to our liking so that it fits in well with the decoration of the house. For my taste, the photo better if it goes with a paspertout of at least 5 centimeters and the white or black color of the frame is the one I like more for my photographs.
The dibond is a 3 mm thick metal and polyethylene sheet and the photo is placed on top of it. On the back there is a 1 cm deep bar for easy hanging of the photo. The 1 cm separation from the wall creates a floating effect ideal for more modern decorations. The advantage of dibond is that it does not need any frame.
The sizes in vertical and horizontal dibond format are 30×45, 60×90 and 80×120.
Choose the photo on paper or on dibond depends on the taste of each one and the decoration.
